Altamount acquires Somentec and expands portfolio into Energy

Altamount Software GmbH, a platform of CHAPTERS Group AG, has signed an agreement to acquire Somentec Software GmbH ("Somentec") from Stadtwerke Schwäbisch Hall. Closing of the transaction is planned within thecoming days.

With this acquisition, Altamount expands its vertical coverage to theenergy sector, strategically positioning itself in a growth market ofsignificant future relevance. Somentec is an established software providerfocused on billing, customer management, and portal solutions for energysuppliers and municipal utilities. Headquartered in Langen, the company employsaround 100 staff and has been a reliable partner for the digitalisation of theGerman energy industry for over two decades.
