Altamount acquires Somentec and expands portfolio into Energy

Altamount Software GmbH, a platform of CHAPTERS Group AG, has signed an agreement to acquire Somentec Software GmbH ("Somentec") from Stadtwerke Schwäbisch Hall. Closing of the transaction is planned within the coming days.

With this acquisition, Altamount expands its vertical coverage to the energy sector, strategically positioning itself in a growth market of significant future relevance. Somentec is an established software provider focused on billing, customer management, and portal solutions for energy suppliers and municipal utilities. Headquartered in Langen, the company employs around 100 staff and has been a reliable partner for the digitalisation of theGerman energy industry for over two decades.
